FAQ'S
How long does ZYPPAH take to work?
For some customers, the Zyppah appliance offers immediate results and instantly more restful sleep. For most, it takes time to become accustomed to having something in your mouth all night.
How often should I replace my Zyppah?
With normal use, your Zyppah should be replaced every 4-18 months. If you grind your teeth, you may need to replace it more often.
I have a very wide/narrow jaw. Will Zyppah work for me?
Almost everyone’s front 6 teeth are the same width and even though your back teeth might be outside the appliance, it will still work very effectively. Additionally, the soft material when heated, can be moved wider or narrower to make the appliance achieve a better fit during the molding phase. Please feel free to contact our customer service team if you have any questions, discomfort or pain.
The appliance is making me drool and salivate, is this normal?
If you have never used an oral appliance before, this is a normal reaction. Your brain is interpreting the Zyppah appliance as food and your glands are reacting accordingly! With time and patience, this will subside. Wearing the appliance for small periods of time throughout the day and for one hour before bed will allow you to get used to the appliance and stop the excessive saliva production before falling asleep. This typically takes a few days up to 3 weeks.
Does it matter what side I sleep on?
No, the Zyppah appliance is designed to fit securely in your mouth in all positions. Feel free to sleep however you feel most comfortable! Saying that, sleeping on your side is the most beneficial for reducing your snoring. Lying on the back is usually the worst position for snoring.
